So much fun we had over Thanksgiving this year! Most of my immediate family attended (my mother, father, brother, and sister-in-law) the holiday here in Concord.
Wednesday night we ate at Hermano's Mexican, what has been recommended as the best restaurant in Concord and one of the best Mexican restaurants in New England. It was good and, more importantly, the girls were great!! If you come to visit remember to get the nachos and to ASK for the salsa.
Thursday we had maple-brined turkey, chestnut stuffing, bourbon sweet-potatotes, brocolli salad, green bean casserole, pecan pie, and pumpkin pie (as well as some other things here and there). The weather was okay, the eating good, and the company great!
Friday, Lucy and Annie hang out at the hotel with Gammie and Papa to watch Disney channel. Lori, Burl, and I went down to Salem, MA for witch and pirate history. It wasn't a bad drive, just over 1 hour. The weather cheered up in the afternoon after eating at the New England Soup Factory. Soup makes everything better.
Saturday involved getting Lori and Burl to the airport. We never found a "Welcome to Concord" sign - sorry, Lori.
Sunday it snowed. It has snowed a couple of times but this was the first snow that allowed Lucy to go out and throw snowballs.
Now on to Christmas!!!
