Lucy came home from church today and said, "Mommy, I have an idea." Her idea was great! We took lunch to her park (White Park -- named after the White family who donated the land). We sat by the pond and had sandwiches and lemonade. Afterwards, Spencer went to the library as it will be closed Labor Day. The girls and I went and played on the playground.
The pond freezes in the winter and there is a building you cannot see in some of the pictures that rents out skates for the season. There is currently construction on the parking lot and hockey rink -- the orange blockades you might see in the pictures. The brick building behind Lucy playing on the grass is Franklin Pierce Law Center, Spencer's law school.
Another beautiful day in Concord.
